Is it best to have a carrier wher they can only see out one end?
When i go anywhere with Laker i use the car seat belt around his cage - as it is small & of course he has everything inside.
But i was thinking of a smaller carrier in the future. |

thats a nice carrier.
homebird, it depends on the bird. If it has frights a lot during a trip, it would be best for it to only be able to look out one end. |

I think my Budgie likes driving! He's very interested in everything thank goodness.
Now my past cats - no way - want a fur hat if the cage opens! |

Hi all!
Is the cage that Maddyfish bought the typical one that one should use for airplane travel too? I may have to travel abroad sometime in the future and want to make sure of my options early enough.. is it usually a big deal to take the birds on the plane with you? |

Maddyfish, did you buy that specifically for a parrot, or did you put the perches in it yourself?
I use dog carriers for my birds. Hubby screwed a perch in the smaller one for the smaller birds & I use a real large one for my macaw, I didn't put a perch in his.
I think those types of carriers work really great for transporting birds, their light weight & very easy to handle! |
