Hi, I've cut down a big forsythia bush and was wondering if it would be safe to use it for perches or for my birds to chew.
The bush wasn't near any road and I never used any garden chemicals on it.
I'm going to be taking on my ex partners Goffins Cockatoo and I have a Hanhs and a Sennie.
I thought that the branches would be very good for keeping the Goffins occupied especially.
Does anyone have information about forsythia?
I've been reading the information in the previous post about how to treat the branches as regards cleaning and baking in the oven. |

Fluffy Sue has a list of safe and dangerous plant on her site, and if I do say so myself, it helped A LOT. Both my birds, a MTC (maroon tailed conure), budgie, Cookie absolutly ADORE our palm trees. (they look like, they came out of a blender) So check her sight and see if the forsythia bush is safe. If it happens not to be on the site, you can probably find the awnser on the internet.
