Goffeys Dirty Face  Reply with quote

I have brought Goffey my Ex Partner Marks Goffins Cockatoo to live with me and I was wondering what would be the best way to clean a dirty grey mark he has on the side of his face near his beak. I got him home yesterday as I couldn't move him until I could get the use of a car big enough to get his cage in so we have been feeding him every day at my Ex Partners house until he was moved.

I gave him a good shower this morning as he hadn't been bathed for about 2 weeks.

Does anyone know of a safe product that could be used to remove the mark, or would it be best if I just kept bathing him and just waited for it to fade naturally?

I'm just letting Goffey take his time settling in as he was very attached to Mark and he needs to adjust slowly to his loss. I suppose that like the rest of us he will grieve for a while but he's responding well to quiet cuddles and love, he's also helping me cope as Mark and I were still very close, just couldn't live together.

Any advice would be appreciated, I will post pictures some time so you can see his little blushy cheeks.
