Female becomming more aggressive
I have a female whitefaced cockatiel who is about a year and a half old. She normally gets on well with me (she lives in my room) and my mam. However, she has become slightly aggressive. She's fine with sitting on shoulders or sitting next to people, but then she will try and get me to stroke her and bite me when I try to. Her cage is also tidier than normal even though she has been in there the same amount of time as normal. I got rabbits two days ago so this could have unsettled her more, but I don't know why she's suddenly become more aggressive? Any ideas?

not sure why she is aggressive but from what i learned she maybe testing the ground to see who will be the more dominant you or her
Stroking a bird is often initiating a sexual advance.
Unlike dogs & cats, they only touch each other on the wings when they want to mount. But many find it offensive & will tell you. For a young hen - who isn't in season or even ready - they will tell you right a way - the way they know best - by biting.
Other biting - well a lot of hens are nippy. With my Mom's hen I don't let her climb up if she's nipping. I keep her on my hand. You have to train then a bit to what is acceptable behavior. Training over all is the best interaction anyways. It adds interest to your relationship & the bird tends to love it.
Some birds will accept it from their human but it will lead to further problems down the road. The bird really needs to be a bird ¬ confused.
Checkout this article - it really made me think.
