All parrots, specially African greys and cockatoos dust a lot. So that is not uncommon for a grey.

Depending on what Sidney is used, you can take him with you in the shower, or let a small amount of water in the bath so he can walk in that. Often the do not like that immediately and it might take some time. To get them used to water you can use a NEW spray bottle (a kind like used for plants), put it on misting and gradually spray hem a little more every day.

As for the biting. Can you get him to step up on long perch? When Simon is in a bad mood or doesn't want to go into his cage I have to use that. But he never bites if he thinks I am going to take him with me somewhere. Only if he thinks I'm taking him off his cage to put him in his cage. If I can figure out how to skrink my photos I'll put them on my homepage so you can see Simon in the shower.

The reason my bird looks different is because yours is an African Grey and mine is a Timney Grey (I think I spelled that wrong) Tihmney? Well you could look it up on the net and you will see mine is a bit smaller and it does have a red tail but it's not bright like the African Greys. The reason I chose a Timney was for it's size. The Aftrican is a bit too big for me. I tried handling them before I got Simon but I was afraid of their large beaks and feet. I also noticed the Africans were pretty loud. My Simon hardly ever screams, only when I vacuum.
